On the upside:
Like the other two fire signs, Leo and Aries, Sagittarius is optimistic, energetic and full of enthusiasm for life. Being philosophical, this sign sees the big picture, and is constantly seeking to broaden their personal horizons as well as those of others around them. The archer symbol is very apt, as for Sagittarius life is about the excitement of firing the arrow, rather than knowing (or even much caring!) where it might land. This sign has a real talent for making valuable contacts, because it has both the eye for new opportunities, and the sheer cheek to go ahead and try its luck! Friendship is a key motivator for Sagittarians, and the need to feel as if they are friends with their life partners is probably just as important to them as being lovers.

Possible downsides:
Back down here in the practical world, Sagittarius can get very easily bored, especially by the humdrum detail and routine of everyday life. He or she hates restriction, in all shapes and forms, domesticity included. Like the other fire signs, Sagittarians are not too good at taking orders. Their broad brush approach can make them inconsistent (doing things the same way twice would be just too boring!), slapdash and extravagant.

The bottom line…
More than anything, this sign needs freedom: freedom to explore the world, new ideas and philosophies, new relationships. If you want a calm, quiet partner who’ll fit in with your domestic routine, forget Sagittarius! But if you like the idea of being taken on a journey of discovery, learning from all the experiences life has to offer, you couldn’t do better than hook up with a Sagittarius.
